Just when you thought Twilight Princess was riding off into the sunset, here comes the merchandise! With the official websites updating last month for the first time in ages, we now have word there will be a trading card set released here in the USA, in addition to mini-collector's figures in Japan due out in mid-May. Can the OST and manga be around the corner? For now, check out this product:

From the product page:

"This colorful 86-card set will take you on a journey with Link, a farm boy in the land of Hyrule, who is catapulted into an epic adventure to save Hyrule from being enveloped by a looming darkness - the Twilight.

Meet his friends, enemies, the evil bosses he confronts on his mission, and learn useful game tips along the way. Look for key characters, weapons, special game tips, fun content, and more.

You’ll also want to look for the special 9-card gold foil set!"

cool. But expensive, I guess.

The only merchandise I'll buy would be an action figure or manga. If I want pretty images, I have The Hylia's media. If I want a t-shirt, I have iron on transfers and mad designing skills. Soundtracks have already been taken care of.

That's cool, I would like them for my collection, as long as they are $20 or less. But that's too much to ask for, seeing they're probably going to be, like, $50.

Has Nintendo put out cards besides these in quite some time? I have an old box of Nintendo cards from the early 90's, I think they had gum inside each pack.

rpgedgar, I still have those too the ones taht came inside a gameboy-like casing and came with some bubble gum and cards, I actually have kept the cases as those were scarce here in Argentina where I live, I used to buy then at my local Sam's Club. Good old times indeed!

Are these like Pokemon cards (stats and all), or just collectibles?

All I have to say is Yugioh and Magic can't be beat by that.

@Badger: That's what I want to know... I'm a Magic fan, so if they are just cards with no stats or nothing... Well, then it's just boring...

It doesn't say it's a Trading Card game...

Looks like they're just meant for collecting.

Once again the "you-know-who-site" took the story without credit.

@Other Site: Blast 'em. I say if you can't find original stories to write about, go join The Onion.

@CFV: Doesn't it say on the pak "Trading Card pak"? Isn't that the same thing as a Trading Card game? (I've never been big on card games before...)

It's clearly just regular trading cards, not a game. They don't put game strategy and tattoos in TCGs. Nor do they usually do packs with only 3 cards and a foil and tattoo (in fact, most TCGs only give out foils as special promotions, not directly in the pack)

You could also look at the pictures above and see a lack of stats and HP on the cards :P

Kotaku reported on the story as being from LotL. Witless...where are you. We need to talk. I need your help in getting some action taken against these guys since you live there and can help me with the language issue. I need to contact their ISP and send a message to report them.

I want action figures (or a true soundtrack). Not some crappy cards. T_T

There's a reason I stopped with Magic the Gathering after all. :(

TSA - what you should do mate at some stage is post a bogus article and watch them copy it. Then we can all laugh and laugh at how stupid they look.

Sorry to but into other people's arguments, but isn't there a perfectly reasonable chance that this other site found the story elsewhere? I mean, your not the only source ever. It's kind of stupid to think that if they have an update like yours, they stole it from you.

Unless, they completely copied the Update? What's the Site?

Twilight is the time between dawn and sunrise, and the time between sunset and dusk. Sunlight scattered in the upper atmosphere illuminates the lower atmosphere, and the surface of the Earth is neither completely lit nor completely dark. The sun itself is not actually visible because it is below the horizon. Due to the unusual and romantic quality of the ambient light at this time, twilight has long been popular with photographers and painters, who refer to it as "sweet light" or the "blue hour", after the French expression l'heure bleue. Twilight is technically defined as the period before sunrise and after sunset during which there is natural light provided by the upper atmosphere, which receives direct sunlight and reflects part of it toward the Earth's surface.[1]

The collateral adjective of "twilight" is crepuscular (for daylight it is diurnal and for night, nocturnal). The term is most frequently encountered when applied to certain species of insects and mammals that are most active during that time.

really amazing thing;
My spouse always used to watch this whenever she was doing her own home business;

Thanks
