Phantom Hourglass an "Updated" NES Zelda?

That's right--Eiji Aonuma considers Phantom Hourglass to be along the lines of an unintentional remake of the Famicom/NES The Legend of Zelda. This should be music to some people's ears, meaning we'll perhaps be seeing some branched out work from him. Aonuma certainly has expressed interest in creating his own game. And who wouldn't want to see that?
Heads up - Due to a region block, most people in Canada, England and Japan (and possibly other regions) will not be able to view the video.

@Kturbo:
Amen, amen to that.
I just love hearing the big guys talk about Zelda, it always makes me feel so excited. AND I'M GOING INSANE WAITING FOR PHANTOM HOURGLASS!!! Just 5 days and all will be well, just 5 days.
And I would absolutely love it if Aonuma remade LoZ into a Wind Waker style game play. That would be cool.

Well that was a very fun interview, and I have to say I enjoyed watching it! Eiji is just so cool, and is like the next Shigeru Miyamoto! I liked the end of the video where he mentions his personality has grown with the Zelda series!
Plus after watching the game footage from that video; I'd have to say that I so can't wait to play the game myself! It looks very fun that it's all controlled with the stylus. I know only 4-3 days left now! But lucky me, I pre-ordered the game from Wal-mart.com and I'm gonna get the special DS skin! :D
