| The last Nintendo Power before
E3 has arrived to members. This is the last magazine to hit news stands
before E3. Inside the issue was another Inside Zelda interview with
Toru Minegishi, Koji Kondo's right hand man in the music area of Twilight
Princess. There's some cool fan artwork, some fan who thinks he has
the biggest Zelda collection, and a promise of a full feature on Phantom
Hourglass next month. |
| |
| There really isn't much to be
hyped about in this issue. The Inside Zelda interview was pretty dry,
but Minegishi reveals he thinks Twilight Princess is darker than any
other Zelda game. He also says Link saves Hyrule, but I am not sure
if he meant that's his goal, or if he actually accomplishes this.
He also says the game becomes more relaxed as you go on. A little
odd, but it's only strictly about the music - this isn't the story
guy afterall. |

|
| There is then a feature on these
pieces of art done by hardcore Nintendo fans, some of which are renderings
of Link and Zelda. One of them really looks like a Power Puff girls
version of Link and Navi, but the other pieces are ... interesting.
Still, if you are a fan art enthusiast, you will enjoy this section. |
| |
| In the community section, there
is a small tidbit about a fan who sent in photos of his collection.
Nintendo Power says it is easily the most impressive Zelda only collection
they've seen. Heh, perhaps I should submit photos of my collection?
Nah, I won't. Not the type of thing I really think defines who's a
bigger fan or anything. I will admit he has a pretty good collection,
but it's mainly US-only merchandise and lacks some of the rarer things.
Also, I saw no games! |

| Besides a mention of the statues
coming out this fall based on The Legend of Zelda, which we reported
on a few weeks ago, there is a promise of a big feature on Phantom
Hourglass next issue. Unfortunately, this won't get out until well
after E3, so I don't think it will contain anything terribly important
that we won't learn in just over a week. |
