| You can't keep a good dog
down. More anticipated than the return of Dave Chappelle's Show, the
Old Man returns for a second season. This time he's not limiting himself
to responding to reader questions. This time...it's personal. Just
watch your way out of the cave...and check your pockets... |

| The waiting game... It's
a bit of a boring time in the Zelda community at this moment. Most
of us are still a bit bummed that Twilight Princess isn't coming for
another six months, especially now that we're just about into November,
the supposed original release date. Not much new info has surfaced,
and the only thing we've gotten was a screen shot and tentative title
for Zelda DS. After most fans thought Nintendo had exercised its obsession
with Tingle, they go ahead and bring him back for his own game apparently.
Though nothing major, it still is all we've had for months now, and
it isn't the news most fans were looking forward to. |

Bored with Zelda? Frag
Dolls have the cure.
|
| The other thing that complicates
this matter is we don't have any clear understanding of when breaking
news about Twilight Princess will be revealed. Are we going to have
to wait until GDC 2006? Or perhaps E3 2006? I seriously doubt it will
be that long, but it is disappointing to not know for sure. There
isn't much to look forward to these days. |

| Better late than never...
Sure, Shout Factory released the Zelda Cartoons on DVD so we could
finally own them all without using illegal means, but most of us already
experienced them through various mediums, mostly Yahooligans! or video
downloads from a fan site. Tokyo Game Show unveiled the Revolution's
controller, and Iwata hinted with the demo video that there may be
consideration of using the "remote" to control Link's sword...or
at least go fishing. |

| What's going on in Hyrule...
As for Zelda sites, not much is going on there. It seems like ever
since Anakin left Zelda Universe, it's been nothing but downhill.
It's partially due to the lack of updates thanks to the lack of new
info. Davogones finally popped back into existence after MIA for some
time now, and there have been a few updates their on the front of
new manga and textual resources. Zelda-Infinite is also bringing the
manga chapters to fans as well. Louisa finally got her PC back at
Indie Zelda, and now she can resume her wonderful work there with
Dryth (who I haven't seen for awhile now). The Missing Link has started
up Zelda Blog along with Archaic Sage of Rauru's Return and Goddess
Rinoa of Zelda-Infinite. |

| Putting Out An APB For
... Mak and Zethar. Mak, webmaster of the currently on-hiatus "The
Adventure of Hyrule", and Zethar, resident translation guru,
haven't really been around much. I used to talk to Zethar frequently
before he began college, and Mak seems to have become a more infrequent
poster in these parts, albeit I chat with him sometimes on AIM. |

| Webmaster who gets to ride
Epona to work... The Missing Link, for launching Zelda Blog, an
attempt to get prominent Zelda community members to band together
to cover aspects of Zelda. |
| |
| Webmaster who should hide
out in the Evil Jar... Khuffie of Zelda Legends, for not posting
an update himself for a month and for being so grumpy this week. |
| |
| Letters... None yet,
this is the first installment! |
| |
| Closing thoughts... It
gets old when people simply are out to get you. It's a fact of life
that people will not like you, but there comes a point when you just
want to throw in the towel. But true fans keep on doing what they
do because of the love. So the next time you are getting ready to
personally attack another fan, think about the fact you both are fans
of the same thing, and fighting is just plain stupid and a waste.
Everyone has differences, just try to accept it. |

| Did you know... After
leaving ZHQ in 2000, TSA was actually a staff member for various Zelda
sites, including Zelda-Infinite, Ganon's Tower, Zelda Games, ZLDA
and Zelda Classic, before trying to revive ZHQ in 2002. |
