One of the areas that I've neglected in the past ... several years ... is the image gallery of this site. I know that we have a ton of music and videos, and "documents" from certain publications in digital format, but our image gallery itself has been lackluster. Over the last two days, I combed through some of the digital documents I have from Nintendo, and ripped over 300 new images - many you've seen before, but are now at better quality. Some are new.

I browsed through most of the press galleries and some of the official sites as well. Nintendo of Europe provided some very excellent images in their press section, but I think they may want to check the sources of some of their older images, in particular from Link's Awakening. I think that image came from a fan site...

Additionally, I've got most of my Zelda stuff here in California now. I will begin scanning and ripping media from various sources, including the Player's Guides from the US and Japan, the Manga, the Comics, the past Nintendo Power issues and the Manuals. This will be a lengthy process, though, but I will try to do a bit of it each day to make progress. I plan to go in order of the games' releases, so The Legend of Zelda will get the first treatment.

However, should anything "new" be released for Twilight Princess, I will switch gears and work on that instead. I plan to scan the manual/guide when I get it rather than waiting for awhile in which I will never get to it. Also, new materials released for other games will take priority, such as The Minish Cap manga, which should be arriving this week to my apartment.

On a final note, I cleared out all of the images from the gallery that were either: A) Low quality and I did not like them or B) Not originally produced by myself. There still are some images up that were donated to this site generously by others which we've been given permission again to use these images for our gallery. Also, I'd rather have images I scanned/produced myself. Many great sites have contributed to my previous web pages, such as Zelda Legends and History of Hyrule, but I think it is time to have everything produced on our own.

However, though we have an open policy use, we'd prefer that you only use the images for design or creative purposes. Please also note at anytime, Nintendo could ask us to remove these images because they are not our property - and should you use them, they could also ask you to remove them as well. But hopefully Nintendo supports fan sites like they always do, and will encourage the community to keep on growing. We also hope you enjoy the new images coming in the next few months.
