Earlier this week we reported
on a French blog that posted images of a modified NES unit made to
be Zelda-themed. Today we found another set of images from the same
blog, and ironically they were of what I had suggested in my previous
article. Sadly, the blog posting was from November of last year, so
looks like they beat me to the punch.
This alternate mod really isn't
as impressive as the other ne, which had the cool neon blue light.
This one is just simply the Triforce cut out of the top, and then
some gold painted onto the casing. Even the Nintendo logo and NES
info is still on the flap you lift up to insert games. Either way,
still awesome somebody else out there things like myself, and probably
other fans.
Hopefully, as I said before,
we can look forward to more custom modifications of consoles, like
perhaps the SNES, N64 of GCN...or perhaps even an official one by
Nintendo for DS or Wii. We do have the Zelda GBA SP from Europe, and
that was awesome (if not a bit pricey).
So go ahead and check out the
post if you can read French to see what the mod is about, and perhaps
some of you will send in some photos of your own custom Zelda modifications?
Did you know there is a documentary on The Legend of Zelda series?
