Well, for the past two days
Camp Hyrule has been rolling along! Yesterday, Day 2, saw my cabin
drop into second to last place! Our Cabin is named "R2 Wii2",
although it's not the most clever name. Additionally, a new game based
on Dr. Mario appeared, though it played like Space Invaders. Also,
Viruses were flying around all over camp! The Amphitheater also came
back into the gravity of the camp, allowing chats with NOA_Kent and
Raymond Yan of Digipen to occur.
I have to say, Kent's chat was ok. I asked a question about the
possibility of integrating future sites with Nintendo Wii via WiiConnect24.
The NOAs said it was a great question, but they weren't allowed
to speculate on the Wii, so it was denied. Nothing else of interest
in terms of Zelda came out of that chat.
The next chat with Raymond Yan was very dull. The guy typed like
I do, hitting enter every three seconds, though he said "So..."
about a million times. He did nothing but plug Digipen and admit
not many people from the college go on to work for Nintendo in Japan.
Good job there, I don't think Nintendo will be inviting him back,
heh.
The Lost Woods Trivia took place in Hyrule Castle, and although
the first round was a mess, it was just for fun. The two serious
rounds went well, and we got three of our winners advancing to the
finals. There was also another NOA face paint for NOA Mysterious,
and an Icon Contest!
Today brought much trouble for me logging in. The same problem
from Day 1 plagued me for much of Day 2 in the morning, which caused
havoc during the first serious Lost Woods Trivia round. However,
the Lost Woods did make a come back finally, and chat moved back
to it from Hyrule castle.
During the first chat with George Harrison, I got a sweet question
in that confirmed the use of the GCN controller for the Wii version
of Twilight Princess will not be implemented. Suckage. He also confirmed
GCN and Wii TP will launch together when the Wii launches. So no
TP delay.
There were updates in the scoreboard, which saw my cabin drop to
dead last. Total bummer. There was also a Save Stumpy game, which
was like Asteroids, although the aiming for the gun was a bit weird.
Next big chat had the Localization team, in which I got to ask about
Tingle RPG and Tetra's Trackers not coming to the US. Like usual,
not a really solid answer, but they at least addressed it.
Today's events include painting NOA Andy's face, and drawing a
Phantom Hourglass piece of art. We got more winners from the Lost
Woods Trivia, five of eight now! Well, I'm off to bed. I'll see
you campers tomorrow!
