NOA Andy, my good friend
over at Nintendo of America, has updated the Camp Hyrule splash page
to inform everyone that this year's Camp Hyrule registration period
will be taking place July 25th through July 27th, 2006. This means
that anyone with a MyNintendo account and internet access can register
and participate in this hotly anticipated event.
Now, I'm sure you're wondering
what Camp Hyrule is - you can check our previous update in the news
section about it. However, the camp is Zelda themed, and if you're
looking to find an active time to chat with me, or other Zelda fans
- this is the week to do it. It's August 14th through 18th this year.
Chat's are only open certain hours, usually like 7am Pacific Daylight
Time until 9pm Pacific Daylight Time, but it could change.
The message board, which is
just like the official Nsider boards (Lithium software), are open
all day, as our the flash games and map area. Each year, the camp
has an awesome theme, and it is about 99.9% sure the theme this year
is Wii, and Twilight Princess and probably Phantom Hourglass will
have a big presence. It is also rumored (heard it from a little birdy)
that the Wii price and launch date will be announced during this week
during one of the special guest chats, but that's just a rumor.
If you're looking for Zelda
trivia, then you will be at the right place. I will be once again
attempting to see if we can use the Amphitheater for the trivia to
prevent the massive flooding, but it is highly unlikely since Andy
and the team will be mad busy, and I know firsthand how hard it is
to run a live online event like this, so I don't want to make it a
hassle on NOA. But the Lost Woods chat will be reserved for my trivia
challenge.
