Yesterday we reported on
a hardcore fan who created figurines out of mere paper. Now we bring
you another hardcore fan from France (well, the story was found on
a French blog) has tricked out their NES with gold casing and a neon-blue
light that glows through the Hylian Royal Family symbol cut out of
the top of the unit. Very stylish, and makes me want to find my NES
and try to replicate this custom mod.
This looks just about as cool
as that limited edition Legend of Zelda GBA SP that came out in Europe
(and to some lucky winners in North America), but this isn't for sale.
This does make me hope that Nintendo will consider releasing a Wii
with a Zelda theme, possibly as a bundle thing, but the chances of
that happening are probably slim. Either way, you can't deny how awesome
this thing is.
Now, the question is will the
person put up some instructions on how they did it, or possibly sell
it online on eBay. I wonder how much this thing would fetch? The Nintendo
logo and NES text are also removed (or painted over), so I think it
would be cool ir there were some more Zelda markings on the casing.
Perhaps just a Triforce on the top? Or the original box's shield (that
silver one with the one area removed).
Props to whovever did make this,
and you seriously rock. Hardcore Zelda fan, indeed.
Did you know there is a documentary on The Legend of Zelda series?
Unfortunately, it is only in Japanese, but with the help of some
fans, one day this priceless work may be translated for all to enjoy!
Have you missed out on any of our E3 media coverage? Here's a quick
