An online site run by some
fan named Ninjatoes' was featured today on GoNintendo. The site is
dedicated to replicating figures/models using nothing but paper. Surprisingly,
there are instructions and tools on the site for making Legend of
Zelda papercrafts for Link, Majora's Mask and Princess Zelda. This
is seriously one hardcore fan.
The page for the Zelda papercraft
features some photos for you to download, as well as instructions
and parts with and without fold lines so that you can make your own.
I haven't actually tried to make one yet, but ThePrincessZelda is
going to give it a shot later today.
These figures are incredibly
detailed, and at first I didn't believe they were just paper until
I actually read the instructions and saw the materials myself. Very
impressive, and hopefully this fan will create some new ones in the
future. Perhaps The Wind Waker characters, or maybe some from the
upcoming Twilight Princess?
In addition to the Zelda figures,
there are lots of other series and original works, including a very
impressive Star Trek DS9 replica, which you have to see to believe.
I had never even heard of "papercraft" before, and it just
boggles my mind how some people could be this creative and good to
make works like this. Hats off to this fan.
Did you know there is a documentary on The Legend of Zelda series?
Unfortunately, it is only in Japanese, but with the help of some
fans, one day this priceless work may be translated for all to enjoy!
Have you missed out on any of our E3 media coverage? Here's a quick
