I'm extremely happy with the support for this project as of now! We've had over twenty webmasters from Zelda fan sites and Nintendo news sites inquire to be a part of the round table, and I've had a flood of e-mails and IMs from fans asking when it will take place and where. Now that we've gotten a good show of support, I think it is time to hammer out the details of this sucker. I would like for everyone who can to meet this Saturday at 1pm Pacific Time in our IRC chat. You may also use the Java applet to enter if you do not have IRC which can be found here (you must register on the forum to use chat, sadly, or you must have IRC). If you have IRC, connect to server IRC.INITIALIZED.ORG, PORT 6667, Channel #thehylia. If you can't attend but are interested in participating, I will need you to e-mail me the dates in April you think would be best for you, and more importantly, the time during the day that would be best. Please include your time zone in your e-mail so I do not have to guess. |

I would prefer to have it on a weekend because people most people tend to be out of school or work then, but if everyone is free on a Monday night, then so be it. In addition, some webmasters like The Missing Link have other options besides IRC for the chat. If you know of an option, please let me know via e-mail. Just remember the chat structure must allow for a moderated chat - only certain people can talk at anytime, and we must be able to control all aspects of the chat to a reasonable degree (an AIM chat is out of the question). |

I think we should also discuss this weekend what topics we would like to hit on, and how users will submit questions. I was thinking we could answer fan questions, talk about certain subjects based on what the fans list as most important to them, and we could maybe hit on some topics we want to discuss as a group as well. Some things that come to mind are the community, Twilight Princess' delay, the future of Zelda on Revolution and DS, a Zelda movie, the timeline and the actual games themselves. Of course, these are just my thoughts - this is not reflective of what the round table will be like in the end. |

| I've also sent requests to some people like IGN editors, NOA staff and other professional entities that deal with Zelda to participate, but I've not heard back from any of them. I am also not sure if we want them to participate, either. Anyway, again, I would like to meet at 1pm, Pacific Standard Time, on Saturday, March 25th, 2006. Even if you are not a webmaster, you may still come to this chat to discuss the round table. If there is breaking news about Twilight Princess from GDC, we can also discuss that AFTER we hammer out some details. | |
