It seems while I was away,
the comedy blog site and generator of Internet fads Something Awful
featured GANNON-BANNED as their "Awfuly Link of the Day".
While the site is generally known for just going overboard with negative
reviews to be humorous, it is very apparent the staff reporting on
the site were dead serious about their feedback, which makes me laugh
because they try to bash something thinking I am serious ... when
the site is meant as a big joke. Joke's on them this time, I guess.
I can't get into their forums
to read the comments because the lame place charges for access - boasting
their forums are massive and troll-free. Congratulations, here's a
cookie. So I checked out the YTMND and MySpace pages for GANNON-BANNED
I made to make the fad more elaborate, and all these damn profanity-filled
flames are on there now from people from Something Awful. Seriously,
I'm considering paying DIC for the rights to the image, and making
a huge profit off this because the interest for the thing keeps getting
bigger.
The only serious recourse is
the bandwidth I set for my account for the site is about to max out,
and I am not wasting anymore resources on the thing because it is
not a serious site. I need the bandwidth for here, The Hylia. So,
it will probably go offline tomorrow, and will be offline until August
1st. So for those of you who must have GANNON-BANNED everyday or something,
you're gonna have to go Emo or hit up MySpace.
